Beer lovers will have a new place to explore in the McLaren Vale when the Swell Brewing Co. opens its new brewery and tap house later this year.
Located on Olivers Road, the building is set to open in late 2018 and will be creating a number of jobs in both back and front of house positions.
Co-founder Dan Wright said craft beer was becoming a more popular style of beer to drink and the new brewery and tap house would add another tourist attraction to the McLaren Vale.
“The craft beer industry... we’re quite a tight-knit group and we’re happy to help each other out because we know it’s these small brands against the big commercial brands,” Mr Wright said.
He said it had always been a dream of his to host a brewery in the McLaren Vale.
“It’s been in my mind ever since we started the business… (to have) a home for our brand, a place for people to come and taste beer other than our core range,” he said.
The tap house will have around 16 taps, with rotating styles of beers, cider and potentially wine.
